Texas Director was founded by Kate Young and Carrie Casey in 2002 to help new directors get their license in 2 weekends.  They love working with child care programs to maximize the opportunities available.  Now they offer the director credentialing course in 3 formats: online, in-person, and hybrid.  Kate and Carrie provide coaching to directors, owners, and teachers.  They also create new products and systems based on the feedback from our clients.

A wife and mom to four, Kate lives in Pflugerville, Texas area and has been working with small businesses since 1989. Over sixteen years she has focused primarily on the early childhood and school age care industries.  Prior to launching the and TheChildCareCoach brands, Kate had served as a School Age Program Director, nonprofit Executive Director and Coach, Business Analyst, School Age Curriculum Developer, College Adjunct Professor, national speaker and consultant.Her professional background includes a Certificate in Nonprofit Management, Green Building training, an Instructor Trainer for the American Red Cross since 1986, eleven curriculum certifications,  a business analyst, a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology and a BS in Education.

Carrie is a wife and mother two adult daughters, and is a long-time Austinite.  At the age of three, Carrie decided she would have a day care center when she grew up. It took her a while to make that plan a reality, but she did at the age of 22.  She had worked between times in a parent co-operative, a franchise company and had a registered family home.  Over the years Carrie has had 4 child care centers caring for hundreds of families, and started training teachers from other centers as well as her own.
